Alba is very well bred, has an excellent pedigree and is ideal for eventing. Her pedigree includes a traditional Irish lineage – Thoroughbred crossed with Irish Draught. The skewbald Sire, Glenhill Gold, was a winner at three star level and was part of the Irish Eventing Team on the long list for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

The dam Mrs Doubtfire, who is lovingly known as Molly in Hasenacher, was herself a winner at one star level in eventing in Ireland. Her grand dam, Tory Girl, was a winner at two star level, while the dam of Tory Girl, Amoy, was placed third in the highest level, the four star event at Badminton.
